Our Goals

Sport Pony Mission Statement - To promote the breeding, showing and sales of sport ponies in Canada and North America. A sport pony is defined as a pony bred to compete in a performance discipline, such as jumping, dressage, eventing, reining, or combined driving https://bettingsiteonline.co.tz/.

Goals

To promote pony trainers, riders, and breeders, and to help top breeders and trainers get together.

To have one active chapter in each province, starting out in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

To request pony classes at all shows and to support them.

Lobby to get open (adult) pony classes recognized at Equine Canada sanctioned shows. Currently, adults can't show ponies and juniors can't show stallions - this really limits the ability to show pony stallions in performance classes; it also limits the ability to bring youngstock on without putting our young riders at risk bettingsiteonline.co.tz.

By creating a place to show our ponies, we will also be creating a marketplace for buyers looking for top performance and breeding stock.

Develop a judges list and a criteria for listing new judges.

Create at least one show in each province with required classes and recognized judges, to create a circuit with points and year end awards. Possible awards include top trainer, top exhibitor, top breeder, top stallion/mare, high point for each division, and overall high point https://www.bettingsiteonline.co.tz/. Encourage support of all of the shows in order to earn points, and find sponsorship for prize money and year end awards.

Create a Private Treaty Sale for sport ponies to draw buyers and sellers to one location. Really fancy, as on the European model (wine and cheese, great location, etc.) This would be a fall event, the goal being to limit entries to about 40 trained, salable, pre-approved ponies.

Develop a promotional strategy
and network, from Canadian sport pony breeders to the wider equestrian audience in Canada and North America. Strategies include the development of the website and online magazine, and representation at Spruce Meadows Masters/Battle of the Breeds tradeshow. Future possibilities include development of a print magazine and promotional print materials.

Long term goal: Request a sport pony registry/recording from CLRC - Canadian Warmblood, Sport Horse or Canadian Pony - and come up with a breed standard for an evolving breed.
